So, you went there. My in-laws are from Bicol (Sorsogon). What happened in Legaspi is horrible!

this picture hits home.
do you know that my parents are both from Bicol? My father is from Maslog, Legaspi City (formerly named Albay, the Capital town, before becoming the City of Legaspi) and my grandmother is from Camalig and my mother was born in that town.

I and Joey Fernandez have gone around Bicol during the 70's. He being Bicol born too, in Daet, Cam. Norte.

We have gone around the Foot of Mt. Mayon from Tabako at 5:30am and around the foot and back to Tabako by nighrfall.

One of the most hard-hit by Durian ln Bicol was Sto. Domingo, which was still known then as Libog (sounds obscene---doesn't it?) that's why they changed its name to Sto Domingo, named after a long sunken spanish vessel which was discovered in its deep shore.
